Fire Protection System Design & Manufacturing
We Engineer and Build Our Own Fire Equipment
DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING AT SFFECO.
SFFECO designs and manufactures its own fire fighting equipment in Saudi Arabia rather than reselling other brands. Since 1983, that has meant one company owns the full chain from engineering drawing to finished product, so clients deal directly with the manufacturer on quality, lead time, and technical performance.
Every project starts as an engineering problem, not a catalogue order. SFFECO’s engineers turn a building’s fire risk, hydraulic demand, and governing codes into drawings, calculations, and specifications, then build the equipment on dedicated lines at its Riyadh factory under an ISO 9001 quality system certified by BRE Global Ltd., UK.
Why Engineered Design Decides Performance
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMPLIANT AND RELIABLE.
A fire system only works if it is sized for the specific hazard it protects. Under-size it and it cannot control a fire; over-size it and you pay for capacity and space you do not need. Sound design balances flow, pressure, agent choice, detection, and redundancy against the building’s real occupancy and risk.
SFFECO designs to the governing codes, usually the relevant NFPA standards and the Saudi Building Code (SBC 801), and produces a documented package that consultants and the Saudi Civil Defense can review and approve. Because the same company then manufactures to that package, materials, tolerances, and product listings are verified before anything ships, which cuts site rework later.
SFFECO builds to third-party certification, not self-declaration. Its quality management system is ISO 9001 certified by BRE Global Ltd., UK, alongside ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety. Products are engineered for approval and listing by recognised bodies, including UL and FM Approvals, and are made to conform with SASO requirements for the Saudi market. Every product is tested and verified before it carries the SFFECO name.
How a System Goes From Risk to Finished Equipment
THE DESIGN-TO-MANUFACTURE PROCESS
- Risk analysis: review the occupancy, hazard class, and the codes and authority requirements that govern the project.
- System selection: choose the protection method, whether water-based sprinkler and hydrant systems, foam, gas (clean-agent) suppression, or a combination.
- Detailed engineering: hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, drawings, and specifications, prepared for consultant and Civil Defense approval.
- Manufacturing: produce the pumps, extinguishers, hydrants, valves, cabinets, doors, foam and gas suppression equipment, and fire vehicles on dedicated lines.
- Quality control: in-process and final inspection and performance testing against the approved design and product listings.
- Documentation: compile data sheets, test certificates, and listing references for the project record.
Because one company handles every step, a design can be adapted for a difficult application instead of being forced to fit a standard catalogue product.
What SFFECO Designs and Manufactures
A COMPLETE, IN-HOUSE PRODUCT RANGE
SFFECO manufactures the core components of a fire protection system, so a single supplier can deliver an integrated solution:
- Fire Pumps: pump sets sized to system demand and engineered to NFPA 20 principles.
- Fire Extinguishers: portable and wheeled units for first response across occupancy types.
- Fire Hydrants and Fire Valves: water-supply and control components for hydrant and standpipe networks.
- Foam Systems: for flammable-liquid and high-hazard risks in oil, gas, and industrial facilities.
- Gas Suppression Systems: clean-agent suppression for data centres, control rooms, and sensitive electronics.
- Fire Cabinets and Fire Doors: hose-reel cabinets and rated doors for containment and access.
- Fire Vehicles, Trailer Units, and EV Safety Units: mobile response platforms, including solutions for lithium-ion battery risks.

FOUR DECADES OF ENGINEERING IN THE KINGDOM
SFFECO has manufactured fire fighting equipment in Saudi Arabia since 1983. Clients choose its design and manufacturing capability for clear, practical reasons:
- Single-source accountability: one company designs, engineers, and builds the equipment, all in the Kingdom.
- Certified quality: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 systems, with products built for UL, FM, and SASO conformity.
- Saudi-made: local manufacturing that supports Vision 2030, the Saudi Made programme, and national-content requirements.
- Engineering depth: an in-house design and R&D team that adapts solutions for high-hazard and specialised applications.
- Proven on major projects: equipment engineered for the Kingdom’s giga-projects and infrastructure.
At SFFECO, we manufacture a full range of fire protection and firefighting products, including fire extinguishers (portable, mobile, modular), fire pumps, hydrants, cabinets, hose reels, fire doors, foam equipment, suppression systems, and firefighting vehicles. All products are manufactured in our state-of-the-art facilities in Riyadh and Dubai to meet international standards.
In Saudi Arabia, at SFFECO’s factory in Riyadh. Local manufacturing supports the Saudi Made programme and Vision 2030 local-content goals.
